Glittery Cake

¼ cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
2 pieces eggs
1 pack MAYA Decadence Devils Food Cake Mix 550g
½ cup choco chips

Poured Fondant:

2 ¼ cups confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons cornsyrup or glucose
¼ cup water
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

glittery candy sprinkles


Preheat oven to 350°F/ 177°C. Grease and line two 5-inch round pans. Set aside. In a bowl, blend together oil, water, eggs and brownie mix and continue beating until mixture becomes smooth. Add in choco chips. Pour and divide mixture onto prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cake is done. Cool and unmold. Set aside.

In a heat proof bowl over simmering water, mix the confectioners’ sugar, corn syrup, water and vanilla together, until well combined and warm.

To assemble: Pour fondant all over the cake.  Put the prepared christmas candy decorations on one side of the cake. Set aside to dry. Create christmas symbol design on top of cake with the use of glittery candy sprinkles. Brush the sides of the cake with very little water in order for the candy sprinkles to stick on the cake.
