Easy-peasy Cakes to Make for Mother’s Month

May is Mother’s month, that’s why we wanted to draw up a list of amazing and relatively easy cakes that serve as delicious tributes to the most important woman in our life.

And with a little help from Maya, you can be sure these cakes will turn out perfect!

#1 Easy Red Velvet Cheesecake

We simply love this cake because it’s just so beautiful to look at—and it’ll be even more amazing when mom takes a bite.

Red Velvet has a beautiful burgundy color and is a lot like a Devil’s Food Cake. Its famous red color originally came from a special kind of cocoa and even beetroot.

We cut out the hassle of having to bake your red velvet cake from scratch with our Maya Decadence Red Velvet Cake Mix, which even comes with instant frosting. Just add butter, egg yolks, and cream to the mix and you’re on your way to baking a super delicious Red Velvet Cake.

To get the frosting just right, make sure your water is cold before you add it to the instant frosting, then whip until pointed peaks form in the cream.

#2 Maya Oven Toaster Mix Butter Cake

It’s hard to beat the delicious simplicity of really good butter cake, and we have just the recipe that is sure to impress your mom. It’s even easier to make with our Maya OTM Butter Cake Mix!

Make sure to brush the bottom of your pan with oil or shortening before putting the cake mixture in and placing it in the oven. Butter cake tends to really stick to the pan, and we recommend using shortening over butter or oil because it doesn’t burn as easily.

#3 Think Heart Whole Wheat Carrot Cake

If mom is all about eating healthy, then this is the cake for her. Carrot cake is as delicious as it is nutritious, and ours is a whole wheat recipe that contains a lot of fiber, which is really good for the heart. That’s why we’ve called it “thinkheart.”

We’ve taken out the guesswork for you with Maya Whole Wheat Think Heart Carrot Cake Mix. All you need is some vegetable oil, water, eggs, and grated carrots for a yummy cake batter.

Finely grate the carrots so that they’ll be distributed easily and more evenly in the batter. It will also bake more evenly, too!

This May, make your Mom the inspiration for a really great cake. Tell us how your cake turned out in the comments!
