Cheesy Custard Filled Donut Holes


Custard Filling:

  • ¼ cup evaporated milk
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 piece egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons MAYA Cornstarch
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Hotcake Dough:

  • 1 pack MAYA Complete Quick n’ Easy Hotcake Mix 200g
  • ¼ cup water
  • 10 pieces Cheese cubed(10 grams each) for stuffing
  • Oil for frying
  • Sugar for rolling


  • To make the custard, combine all the filling’s ingredients in a sauce pot except the vanilla and butter.
  • Cook over low to medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
  • Turn-off heat, add in vanilla and butter then continue mixing until well combined and mixture becomes smooth.
  • Transfer in a clean bowl and cover with cling wrap. Cool in the refrigerator for later use.
  • Prepare dough by combining hotcake mix and water in a bowl.
  • Mix until it becomes a dough. Divide in ten pieces (30 grams each) and roll
  • into balls. Rest dough balls for 10 minutes.
  • To assemble donut holes, get one ball of dough and put a small amount of custard
  • filling and one cheese cube at the center. Repeat this procedure with the remaining
  • ingredients.
  • Deep-fry munchkins in very hot oil until golden brown. Drain excess oil then roll in
  • sugar before serving.
