Bat Cupcakes


1 pack MAYA Decadence Devil’s Food Cake Mix 550g
2 pieces eggs
¼ cup oil
1 cup water

Gum paste (candy clay):

1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
3 tablespoons water
1 cup powdered sugar (400 grams)
MAYA Cornstarch for dusting
Food color (black & orange)


Prepare the cake mix (eggs, oil, water) according to package directions for cupcakes. Pour mixture in large muffin pans. Bake for recommended temperature just until set.

Preparegum paste: In a saucepan, combine unflavored gelatin and water. Heat mixture until gelatin dissolves. Add powdered sugar and mix until smooth then knead until pliable. Roll into thin sheets.

Divide gum paste into two portions. Tint each portion with the black and orange food color. Roll out dough gum paste, cut into round and bat shapes using cookie cutter, then top on the baked cupcakes. Alternately, you may use half cookies for the wings and chocolate kisses for the head.
